The 4130 Subway Series BMX Ride would like to give a HUGE Thanks to ALL the chromies who donated to get Mr. Rogers (Nate Rogers….not that creepy old man in the sweaters who wants to be your neighbor) out here for OUR 2 Year Anniversary 4130 Subway Series BMX Ride!!!! BIG UPS to Roberta Molina, Fernie Nunez, Mark Gracious, Guido sepulveda, Yvonne Santana, Heather Botts, Jesse “Drama” Verduzco, and the other three Chromies who donated anonymously. WE know times are tough financially, but it blows OUR minds that the Chromies came through like this. WE even had Chromies donating from other states! The 4130 Subway Series called, and the Chromies answered in spectacular fashion!! Nate is absolutely blown away by your generosity!! WE Love ALL the Chromies!!!!!! This ride has become what it is because of EVERYONE of you. YOU make this the largest monthly BMX Group Ride in the World… YOU make this a Family and not just a bunch of creeps on bikes. WE come from all walks of life… All races and genders… Just to smash through the streets of Hollygood!!! How COOL is that!!!! 4130 chrome flows through all of our Bodies and Hearts. BMX unites us as one, and together the Chromie Nation CANNOT and WILL NOT be stopped. This fundraiser is proof. WE thank the Chromies for growing with us, and look at us now…..2 years strong and no sign of Slowing down or Lettin’ up. Let’s keep this wheelie rollin’ chromies!! Twas the night before Christmas chromie style.!!!!!

Twas’ the night before Christmas and all through the streets, not a creature was stirring, not even a Cheech. The Freewheels were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that a BMX’n St. Nicholas soon would be there. The Chromies were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of the subway series danced in their heads. And the Mayor in his chucks, and 4130 cap, had just settled his brain for a long winters nap. When out on the streets there arose such a clatter, I grabbed my bike to go see (more…)

It happens more often than you would think… Bikes gettin’ jacked sitting on the front of a City bus!!

The word is out in the streets chromies… Bikes are being jacked from City Busses mane!! and they’re targeting BMX’s of course… While you’re there riding the bus, just minding your own. Some A-Hole is plotting to hop off the bus, hop on your bike and be ghost!! There’s no-way for you to hop off the bus in time to grab dude, so now NO MORE BIKE FOR YOU and that SUCKS balls!!

So ALWAYS remember to have a lock with you when you ride and quicky lock your bike to the rack as you put in on the bus… Also, keep a watch-out for anyone “plottin’ and schemin’” or looking “shadey” at your whip… and Mos Def sit in the front of the bus with the squares for easy visibility of your ride. It sucks but when you ride bikes as Fly as WE do, chumps are always going to want them for themselves, SO PROTECT YOU BIKE!! Spread the Word and Let’s Hope None of the chromies High Class BMX Bikes are taken from under their noses…

The L.A.P.D. and Metro Police are all “Gung Ho” about bikes having lights, and they pass out tickets like Halloween candy to those who don’t. To avoid any contact with the L.A.P.D. and/or tickets, The 4130 asks you to “Get Lit Up”!! Please Put Lights on Your Bikes!!

All Southern California Law Enforcement Agencies are giving tickets for no lights on bikes. Lets "Get Lit Up"!!

As crazy as it sounds… In a major city like Los Angeles, with crime happening all around, The L.A.P.D. will take the time out to write as many bike without lights tickets as they can. If you’re riding in L.A. at night without a front and back light, you’re asking for Jake to come and take some money from you. It’s so simple to avoid, Just “Get Lit Up”!!

The 4130 asks you to "Get Lit Up"!!

There are all sorts of Bike Lights on the market from cheap little lights to expensive spot lights that will light up a whole block. The choice is yours. Most lights are super easy to install and DO NOT DAMAGE OUR SWEET BIKES AT ALL!! So go to your local bike shop and tell’em you wanna get “Lit Up”. Then we can just wheelie on by L.A.’s “Finest”..
