OLD SHOP, NEW SITE – THE BICYCLE SOURCE FEAT. ON NEW BMX SITE

For those of you who may not have heard, there’s a new BMX news website www.collateralbmx.com. It’s a joint effort between Empire BMX shopkeep / ichy-twitter-finger Tom Williams and old school racer / jumper / jack of all BMX trades John Paul Rogers. Between these two they’ve seen it all, yet somehow manage to come up with a fresh layout and with content coming in from all over, it covers a 360 take on BMX. Recently, Collateral BMX posted a dope article in their “Foundations” section featuring our good friends at legendary shop The Bicycle Source, partners of 2013′s January and February 4130 Subway Series Rides.

A fixture in the local L.A. BMX scene, Andrew Jackson flies higher than a startled leap frog and is known for insane rail grinds WITHOUT pegs! The WeThePeople bikes team rider is no stranger to the 4130 Subway Series BMX Ride and has not only ridden with the chromies, but is also one of the champs from previous bunny hop contests held during the famed world’s largest monthly group BMX ride. 33-year-old was three-time world champ

(AP) – Olympic BMX cyclist Kyle Bennett has been killed in an automobile accident in eastern Texas. He was 33. A statement from USA Cycling says the single-vehicle crash happened early yesterday in Conroe, north of Houston. Bennett was a three-time BMX world champion and won an automatic spot on the first US BMX Olympic team in 2008. USA Cycling’s CEO said Bennett was a pioneer in Olympic BMX cycling and an inspiration. Bennett is survived by his fiancé and a young daughter.
